Summary
This project approaches hate speech as an affective practice and part of everyday digital culture. It seeks to unravel the social and emotional processes of messy and conflicted online worlds (Pohjonen 2019). Instead of trying to narrow down hate speech to exact normative definition and diagnosis, this project seeks to understand it as cultural practice with variety of social, technological, political and economic consequences.
