General description
Heikki Karjaluoto is a Professor at the Faculty of Information Technology. He is the Head of Information Systems Division and leads the Technology Management program. His research is in the intersection of technology and business. Karjaluoto has published extensively in business and information system journals and is the author of several books. He has collaborated with several researchers both in Finland and abroad and actively co-operates with companies in joint research and development projects.
He has won numerous research and teaching awards (see Awards below) including several Best Teacher Awards and Best paper awards.

Research interests
Asiakaskäyttäytymisen muutos ja asiakkaiden syvällinen ymmärtäminen on menestyvän liiketoiminnan kulmakivi. Johtamani tutkimusryhmän (DMC) tutkimus pyrkii lisäämään ymmärrystä asiakaskäyttäytymisestä erityisesti digitaalisissa kanavissa ja ymmärryksen pohjalta kykenemme suunnittelemaan organisaatioiden markkinointia ja myyntiä tehokkaammin.
