Research interests

I am interested in management and individuals’ behavior in organizations as they move through developmental transitions and face organizational change. I study decision-making and work outcomes in different organizing contexts, such as health care and entrepreneurs, using longitudinal study designs. Aging in working life, sustainable careers, human resource management, and retirement transitions are at the center of my research.
Many organizations struggle with the pressure to develop their management practices and to attract and retain their key personnel. My research helps individuals and organizations better understand how work can be organized and managed in a way that contributes to sustainable careers and organizational outcomes.
My work has been published in the Journal of Management, Journal of Managerial Psychology, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Canadian Medical Journal, Journal of American Epidemiology, and many more. I serve on the Editorial Board of Work, Aging and Retirement Journal published by Oxford University Press.
