Research interests
My research focuses on integrating STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) to foster innovative, inquiry-based learning environments. I explore the connections between mathematics and art, promote inquiry-based and cooperative learning, and bridge physical and digital realms to enhance educational experiences. I advocate for phenomenon-based learning and interdisciplinary management in education to create holistic and collaborative teaching cultures.
Publications:
My publications span journal articles, edited volumes, and educational resources. Notable works include contributions to journals like The Notices of the American Mathematical Society and editing the anthology Aesthetics of Interdisciplinarity: Art and Mathematics and contributing to the „Playful Learning In Early Childhood Education in Finland”. I have also developed math-art-education handbooks to support educators in integrating STEAM principles.
